About the event
Karon’s Loy Krathong celebration centres on preserving Thai tradition and cultural heritage. The programme includes the Nang Nopphamat pageant, a krathong competition in the conservation category, Thai cultural and community performances, and a Loy Krathong ceremony.
From the editors
Nong Harn Karon Public Park is a public park in Phuket’s Karon district. Karon Municipality is the local government body for the Kata and Karon areas. Loy Krathong is a traditional Thai festival in which people set decorated krathongs afloat.
