About the event
This participatory exhibition explores traces of belief in the district through the Vegetarian Festival, drawing on stories from nine people and the marks belief leaves in places, memories and lives. Visitors can add their own through four formats: Belief Map, Belief Quote, Belief Postcard, where a printed wish can be passed on, and Belief Trace, a shared work made from visitors’ contributions. Together, the stories and contributions form a picture of “us.”
From the editors
Momentary Coffee is a small café within a host-tell in Phuket Town’s historic district. The Vegetarian Festival is an annual nine-day Taoist celebration honouring the Nine Emperor Gods.
