Kathu Shrine Procession

The Kathu procession is followed by evening rituals. It is one of several street processions across Phuket Town in the festival programme. Programme: • Opening ceremony: raising the Go Teng pole • First day: prayers and fasting food at shrines • Naka Procession — street procession • Sapam Procession — street procession • Sam Kong Procession — street procession • Ban Tha Rue Procession — street procession • Bang Neow and Cherng Talay Processions — evening fire rituals • Jui Tui Procession — the main large street procession • Kathu Procession — evening rituals • Final Day: closing ceremony at Saphan Hin • Lowering the Go Teng pole: official end
