About the event
As part of the Phuket Vegetarian Festival, the route takes you through the old town in a local wooden songthaew, stopping at all nine city shrines to pay respects to their sacred images and seek blessings. Vegetarian food is also available at Phuket Vegan Street Food on Ranong Road.

Phuket Old Town is the historic quarter of Phuket Town. Phuket Old Town Cultural Council organizes the annual three-day Old Town Festival in Phuket Town's historic quarter. The Phuket Vegetarian Festival is an annual nine-day religious and cultural tradition rooted in Taoist beliefs and Hokkien heritage.
