About the event
The end-of-Buddhist-Lent ceremony includes Tak Bat Tewo: a procession carrying a Buddha image, with 15 monks receiving alms of rice and dried food. It runs from Wat Suwan Khiri Wong to the memorial grounds in the Ban Mon community.

Wat Suwan Khiri Wong, also known as Wat Patong, is a Buddhist temple and centre for Buddhist education in Patong. Ok Phansa is a traditional Buddhist festival that includes almsgiving ceremonies such as Tak Bat Tewo.
