About the event
The 12th Bangwad Charity Run loops around Bang Wad Dam, with solo ultra distances of 50.4, 69.3 and 100.8 km. Teams can split the load: two runners cover 50 km together, three cover 100 km. The start is in the early morning, and the route follows the circuit around the reservoir. Proceeds from commemorative shirt sales go to the Andaman Heart Centre at Vachira Phuket Hospital, supporting heart patients.

Bang Wad Dam is a reservoir in Kathu district with a paved loop of just over 6 km through tropical forest and hills, popular with walkers, runners and cyclists. Bangwad Charity Run is an annual run around the dam that raises funds for charitable causes.
