About the event
Every Saturday the Chinese Baroque shophouse turns into an opium-den parlour: glitter, sequins and an intimate theatrical drag show from half past eight until midnight, with signature cocktails alongside. Entry is free — rare for the format, which is why the room fills by showtime. Standing room, low light, and flash photography is not the done thing.
From the editors
COOLIES CLUB is a bar in an Old Town shophouse whose calendar is shows; the drag here is intimate and theatrical, with the audience standing right by the performers.
